I am a photographer, author and creator covering assignments in performing arts, TV Shows, entertainment, news and fashion. I have been based in New York for the past 12 years photographing for The New York Times, ABC News, HBO, NBC Universal, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, GETTY, among others.
Photography, curiosity and the need for adventure took me all over the world. Gotta climb a mountain, jump from a plane or ride a falling apart rickshaw to see a Odissi dance festival in sacred Pushkar, India? Sure. Ride horses and fly on hot air balloons over Capadoccia to photograph dancers at a Turkish white desert? Yep. Flying over a volcano and visiting a ancient village in Hawaii covered in black lava to capture Hula rituals? Im down. Creating visual content brought me to places and situations I had never imagined - I even ended up on the other side of the camera hosting a TV show, traveling the world documenting dances in Japan, Morocco, Turkey, India, Brazil, Hawaii, Argentina, Spain. I also became an author: created, photographed and edited my book “When They Dance” - a critically acclaimed photography book published by SENAC-SP a prominent education organization in Brazil - a 4 year project that celebrates curiosity, courage and love for dance.
